As you travel throughout Emerald City and the lands beyond, you'll gradually uncover pieces of Petra's history and learn a lot about the harsh streets from various characters. Emerald City brings you face to face with characters like Jack Pumpkinhead the smuggler and Cowardly Lion the sleazy lawyer. Petra is a private sleuth who is hired by Dee Gale to find her missing fiancée and the storyline is deep and engrossing. You are urged to keep on experimenting throughout the game as the twists and turns in the tale lead you to. The gameplay is mostly based on the conversations with characters that you meet and a few inventory puzzles. The hint system is also well built and should be enough for an avid adventure gamer. In the game all you primarily do is navigate and interact with things by pointing and clicking. Your main objective is to gather information and look for clues which can bring you closer to solving the case. The background and the graphical presentation is truly an art masterpiece. The scenes are extremely well done and immaculate. The characters, animation and the voice acting is great and sets the mood for a thrilling adventure. The music also blends well with the theme of the game and the overall result is a lovable fun adventure with a good story and interesting characters. |
