Feyruna – Fairy Forest is mouse-based adventure game, where you have to help Feyruna the fairy in her quest to restore peace and order to her land by collecting the bumble bees to build up enough light energy to overcome the dark forces.  However, the dark forces are also trying to collect the bumble bees to build up their dark energy so they can overtake the land.  You and Feyruna must gather all your wits and power as you face the evil forces.

It is quite evident from the first few levels that the difficulty of the game scales up quite quickly.  The game offers three levels of difficulty, but even on normal, you will get quite a good work out of your mouse and reflex skills.  Since this is a mouse-driven game, you will soon realize (and feel) the strain on your hands as you try to duck and weave around the game screen, not only trying to avoid the monster, but also having to collect the bees before the dark forces consume them.  Luckily, there are three minigames that you will unlock as you progress through the different levels that will hopefully give your wrist a bit of a break before you continue on with the adventure.

Feyruna doesn’t try to be too creative with the game play and design.  There are already plenty of elements on the screen to get the player’s attention, without adding anymore distractions for the players.  The game does a good job to progress the game at a controlled pace, with new monster, spells, power-ups and bonuses introduced regularly to break up the main plot.  The graphics and music are not spectacular, but they do provide a good job in keeping with the flow of the rest of the game.

This is a solid game that sticks with the basics and does a good job with it.  There is little to distract you, with all the main focus on the screen, and all the action coming from the mouse.  Fast and fun, there is plenty here to keep to occupied for hours.
